The Life of Imam Hussain provides an educational platform that presents the life of Imam Hussain and teaches the moral and human basis of his movement in creative teaching and narrative formats. It showcases artistic, literary, mystical, and religious content through a variety of manifestations as evident in hadith narrations, storytelling on the life of Imam Hussain, the art of Ashura, and a bookstore that provides the public with creative stories that reveal the philosophy of Ashura and Islam through varied literary genres.
The Life of Imam Hussain is a Harvard incubated endeavor, and all the content and designs have been presented at Harvard University and received guidance and feedback from faculty, staff, and student researchers from Harvard University.
In particular, we would like to express our appreciation to the Project on Shi'ism and Global Affairs at the Harvard Divinity School as well as the Jaffer Family Foundation of New York for their generous donation to Harvard and making the Imam Hussain project at Harvard a reality.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to all of the students and faculty in different universities across the United States and internationally (including Columbia, George Mason, George Washington, McGill, MIT, NYU, Rutgers, SOAS, Tufts, UCLA, University of Chicago, University of Connecticut, University of Maryland, University of Virginia, Yale, and beyond) who have spent countless hours assisting with this initiative, collecting, writing, researching, designing, illustrating, and conceptualizing various aspects of the Life of Imam platform.
